Customer Care Trainer

Position Location Port Washington, NY

Position Summary

In this capacity, you will be responsible to ensure the Customer Care support staff is knowledgeable in a variety of software programs. You will be expected to deliver new hire onboarding, ongoing training, retraining based on quality scores and soft skills. You will also have responsibility for assisting with project management as necessary to ensure success of our training programs. We are looking for a positive, energetic, proactive, self-motivated Trainer to join our Customer Care team.


Major Responsibilities


  • Design and deliver technical, product, workflow and soft skills training
  • Build instructional materials, maintain internal and external knowledge base and revise as necessary
  • Create and deliver mastery tests
  • Maintain knowledge of Sandata software and effective communication techniques
  • Schedule and conduct group and one-on-one training sessions
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Care leadership and staff members to identify training needs
  • Evaluate staff and ensure that each individual is adequately trained
  • Host monthly Strive for Excellence training sessions
  • Document training performed and any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Care staff and determine training needs
  • Routinely survey staff to determine training needs
  • Support team projects as they may occur
  • Collaborate with other Sandata teams and with clients to develop training content
  • Develop training sessions based on quality and survey results
  • Conduct in house seminars
  • Maintain staff training history
  • Willingness to travel 10%

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred plus a minimum of 4 years training experience preferably in the home care or health care industry
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, Learning Management Systems, Visio and Power Point
  • Prior Healthcare experience preferred
