Sandata Achieves CMS Certification of EVV Solution

CMS has granted certification of Sandata’s EVV™

Port Washington, NY – May 8, 2019: Sandata Technologies, LLC, the leading provider of technology solutions for the homecare market, announced today that The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted certification of Sandata’s Electronic Visit Verification™ (EVV™) system.

CMS certification is a critical requirement for State Medicaid agencies to receive reimbursement for implementation and operational costs associated with EVV.

The comprehensive certification process was conducted by the CMS certification team, in collaboration with Sandata and our Medicaid client. Sandata demonstrated compliance with criteria and information derived from the 21st Century Cures Act – Section 12006, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), CMS policies, review of the Sandata EVV system in production, and operational performance reporting against metrics. As this is the first certification of an EVV solution, Sandata worked closely with CMS to define the process and evaluation metrics.

“Sandata has a history of introducing comprehensive solutions into the homecare industry, and we are proud of this accomplishment. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with an outstanding Medicaid partner and with CMS to achieve this certification.  We are excited to be the first and only EVV vendor to receive CMS Certification for our statewide deployment,” said Tom Underwood, Sandata’s CEO.
